Foundation repair is not regulated in Texas, resulting in many companies offering "free" evaluations with the goal of securing work; they are selling piers to make money. It is in their best interest (not yours) to find problems they can charge to fix costing the client thousands.

Lifetime warranty? It costs $308 to set up an LLC. So the company can operate for 3-5 years, close down and start a new company leaving the warranty worthless. I call them foundation cowboys.

A Professional Engineer (PE) can be called to do an evaluation also however they can be very expensive, please see the "Scope of Evaluations" section below.
