About 7 years ago during a real estate inspection the buyer asked a foundation company to perform an evaluation. I discretely observed as they took their measurements then either blatantly lied to the client or didn't know what they were doing, telling the client and realtor that the foundation was out of tolerance and needed to be repaired. When they left I recommended that their results be dismissed explaining my reasoning and my personal measurements. Both were very relieved - The client did not have to contemplate $13,500 worth of repairs and the sale went through. Since then I have saved multiple clients thousands of dollars by simply being honest with them. I don't do repairs and have no conflict of interest so the results of my evaluations can be trusted. Firm Foundation is the result of approximately 3,000 real estate inspections focusing on what is best for the client alone. And now as a separate company that level of service will continue, with honesty and integrity.
